CHICAGO — Growlers and crowlers, pints and flights. The language at taprooms may be constantly evolving, but the general concept remains the same.
Taprooms offer chance to sample a variety of different beers, and chat with the brewers themselves.
Last week, Begyle Brewery and Goose Island opened their first taprooms.
For the smaller Begyle, the taproom is a chance to educate new patrons about their beer.
For Goose Island, the taproom offers a chance for the brewery that some consider to have "sold out" to re-connect with customers.
