Movies in the Parks: Here's What's Playing Downtown This Summer

DOWNTOWN — Those not impressed with this year's Millennium Park Summer Movie Series have other Downtown film options outdoors.

Six other Downtown parks will screen films for free as part of the Chicago Park District's "Movies in the Parks" series. All movies start at dusk, and the park district recommends downloading its My Chi Parks app for up-to-date information on movie times and other free events in parks all over the city. 

DNAinfo Chicago made a map of all movies in Chicago parks. Aside from Millennium Park, here's what's playing east of the Chicago River north and south branches from North Avenue to McCormick Place:

A. Montgomery Ward Park, 630 N. Kingsbury St.

June 16: "Unbroken"

June 23: "Into the Woods"

July 14: "The Mighty Macs"

July 28: "The Fugitive"

Aug. 11: "A League of Their Own"

Aug. 25: "Frozen Sing-A-Long"

July 20: "The Boxtrolls"

Lake Shore Park, 808 N. Lake Shore Dr.
