An 8,000-square-foot luxury residence that occupies the entire 10th floor of a building overlooking Lincoln Park is now on the market for $8,950,000.

The four-bedroom, four-and-two-half bathroom residence is in the 2450 N. Lakeview Ave. building, a 12-story building  designed by noted architect Howard Van Doren Shaw in 1923. The late movie critic Gene Siskel once lived in the building.

The condo, listed by Millie Rosenbloom of Baird & Warner, has a private elevator. Once stepping off it on the 10th floor, the residence opens into a grand gallery with black and white marble floors. There are elegant light fixtures, high ceilings and tall windows. The library features hardwood floors. The dining room has parquet floors.

The interiors are by Michael La Rocca and Marvin Herman; the imported silk wall coverings, hand-polished mahogany and Greek columns lend themselves to the luxe feel of a European estate.

The condo has plenty of natural light, especially in the white, spacious kitchen, which has high-end appliances and Gothic detail on the cabinets. There are two fireplaces — one in the living room and one in the master bedroom.

This residence overlooks the park and lake, has city and lake views, and is located near the Clark/Fullerton area of Lincoln Park.
