Three Shot Tuesday Evening, Police Say

CHICAGO — Three people were shot across the city Tuesday night, including a 16-year-old boy shot who shot himself in South Chicago.

Around 9:05 p.m., the teen shot himself in his left thigh while in the 8800 block of South Saginaw Avenue in South Chicago, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

Around 7:20 p.m., a 31-year-old man was shot multiple times while standing outside in the 3600 block of West Ohio Street in East Garfield Park. The man walked into Mount Sinai Hospital in an unknown condition and told police the shots came from a small gray car, Sedevic said.

Around 5 p.m., a 21-year-old man was shot in his left leg during a possible drive-by in the 4100 block of West 21st Place in Lawndale. He was taken to Mount Sinai in serious condition, Sedevic said.

No one is in custody for the shootings.
