Get Help Becoming a Certified Minority or Women's Business at June 8 Event

ENGLEWOOD — Business owners can learn the best way to work with the state at a June 8 event.

The informational workshop and networking opportunity is being offered through a partnership between the Greater Englewood Community Development Corporation and the Illinois Department of Central Management Services. The free event will be held June 8 from 10 a.m. - noon at the U.S. Bank building, 815 W. 63rd St. Topics that will be discussed include:

  • CMS-Business Enterprise program (BEP) — certification for minority, women, persons with disabilities and veteran business owners
  • PTAC at the Women's Business Development Center — Guidance in government contracting and certifications assistance and programs offered by WBDC
  • Venture Capital Financing — Financing tools designed for the growth of your business
