LAKEVIEW — From leather jackets to meatloaf cupcakes, Lakeview area restaurants and shops have plenty to offer mothers on their special day.

Here are some ways to treat your mother, grandmother, aunt or  maternal figure to something spectacular on Mother's Day this Sunday.

Paint Mums with Mom: The Bottle and Bottega art and wine studio, 2900 N. Lincoln Ave., will host three Mother's Day sessions, complete with mimosas (for inspiration!) and Nothing Bundt Cakes bundtinis. The $35 classes include all paint supplies, aprons, and a 10"x10" canvas and will take place at 10 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. The event is restricted to those 18 and older.

Leather is a Mom's Best Friend: The Alley, 3228 N. Clark St., suggested getting mom "something spunky and original" like a motorcycle jacket or a skull-encrusted hair comb. To help out, the store is offering 20 percent off leather and lace products.

When in Venice: Pizza Rustica, 3908 N. Sheridan Road, will have a special Venetian menu for Mother's Day, with moms getting a free lunchtime Bloody Mary or Prosecco mimosa, or a glass of Prosecco with dinner. The special menu includes oysters, beef carpaccio, shrimp risotto and cornish hen.

Moms Crawl Free: Let your mom hang loose and relax with free admission to the Cover Your Bases Pub Crawl. Participants receive T-shirts with a baseball diamond of "bases," which they cover with stickers given as prizes for those who "score" at the various bars. The Saturday crawl starts at 12:05 p.m. at Murphy's Bleachers, 3655 N Sheffield Ave. Tickets for non-moms are $20, or get six for $60.

The Mother Loaf: The Meatloaf Bakery, 2464 N. Clark St., offers an eclectic range of meatloaf products, from bite-size "loafies," to meatloaf cupcakes and pies. For Mother's Day, the shop is offering 50-percent discounts on boxes of two kinds of cupcakes: the Mother Loaf (beef, pork and veal) and the Herby Turkey Loaf (ground turkey, red pepper, herbs). The Clark Street bakery is open from noon to 5:30 p.m. on Sundays, but orders can also be placed for local delivery, mail order or take-out.

Get Kisses from Mom: Mothers raising money for PFLAG Northern Illinois will offer Hershey Kisses to donors outside of Sidetrack, 3349 N. Halsted St., from 3 to 9 p.m. The Parents, families and Friends of Lesbians And Gays is the largest parent-centered LGBTQ advocacy group in the country.

Sicilian-Inspired Brunch: Moms will be treated to a complimentary glass of Prosecco at Ceres' Table, 3124 N. Broadway, which just celebrated its first anniversary. Executive chef Giueseppe Scurato will also prepare a special brunch dish inspired by a recent trip to Sicily.

Blooms 'n' Bottles: Wine House, 3164 N. Broadway, will host a wine tasting from noon to 3 p.m. The Lakeview East wine boutique offers customized gift baskets and chocolate-covered wine bottles, and purchases over $25 include a complimentary flower.
