Three Shot Since Tuesday Morning, Police Say

CHICAGO — Two men and a teen have been shot since Tuesday morning, police said.

Most recently, a 24-year-old man was shot multiple times while sitting in his car Tuesday night in Englewood. At 8:12 p.m., a man approached the car and opened fire, striking the victim in his face, stomach, thigh and ankle, said Officer Stacey Cooper, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was taken to Christ Hospital in critical condition, Cooper said.

Hours earlier and a few blocks south, a 20-year-old man was shot in his left leg while walking in the 7700 block of South Eggleston Avenue in Grand Crossing around 3:40 p.m.. The man was also taken to Christ, where his condition was stabilized, Cooper said.

Around 11:14 a.m., a 16-year-old boy was shot in his left leg as he walked in the 1800 block of South Ridgeway Avenue in North Lawndale. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, Cooper said.

No one was in custody for the shootings.
