CHICAGO — A 7-month-old girl was hospitalized after a domestic-related incident in Englewood Sunday, police said.

Around 8:25 p.m., a 25-year-old man hurled a brick into a residence in the 1400 block of West 73rd Place, striking the child, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police Department spokeswoman.

The girl was taken to Comer Children's hospital, where her condition was stabilized, Sedevic said.

Earlier reports said the child was in a car when she was hit by the brick. Further information was unavailable.
