CHICAGO — At least 30 people were wounded, and another five were killed in shootings over the warm weekend.

From Sunday afternoon to Monday morning, six people were wounded in shootings, including a 14-year-old boy shot in Rogers Park Sunday.

Most recently, a 21-year-old man was grazed by a bullet while driving on the Near West Side Sunday night.

Around 6 p.m., a 16-year-old boy was sitting with a friend on a bench in the 5500 block of West Quincy Street in Austin when two men approached them and began an argument, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police Department spokesman.

During the argument, one of the men shot the teen in his buttocks, police said.  The boy was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, Estrada said.

About an hour earlier, two people were shot in Calumet Heights. Around 4:45 p.m., the two were in the 8900 block of South Blackstone Avenue when a passenger in a black SUV opened fire on them, Estrada said.

A 20-year-old man was hit in his shoulder and taken to Northwestern Hospital in serious condition. A 24-year-old man was grazed in his shoulder, but refused medical attention, Estrada said.

Just before 4 p.m., a 26-year-old woman was shot in her stomach while standing in the 400 block of South Kostner Avenue in West Garfield Park. She was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where she was listed in good condition, Estrada said.

Around 10:30 a.m., a 23-year-old man and 24-year-old woman were injured while driving in Englewood.

Overnight Saturday, a 26-year-old was fatally shot in Washington Park and seven others were wounded in shootings, including a Roseland shooting involving an off-duty police officer.

Overnight Friday, Nyerere Lloyd, 26, was fatally shot in Auburn Gresham, and 10 others were wounded.  The next day, three more people were wounded on the South Side.

Three men were shot dead, and two people were injured in shootings Friday night. One incident in North Lawndale left two men dead and a woman injured. Also, Kelvin Davis, a 24-year-old rapper headed to Atlanta to pursue his musical dreams, was fatally shot, his family said.
