CHICAGO — One man is dead and another was wounded following a shooting in Riverdale Tuesday afternoon.

Around 3:03 p.m., the two men were in the 13200 block of South Rhodes Avenue when several men approached them on foot, and a man in a black T-shirt opened fire, said Officer Stacey Cooper, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. The group then fled.

A 30-year-old man was shot in his chest, arm and lower back. A 22-year-old man was shot in his hand and was grazed across his forehead, Cooper said.

The men brought themselves to Roseland Hospital, where the 30-year-old man later died, Cooper said.

He was identified as Ivan Kennedy, of the 13200 block of South Forrestville Avenue. He was pronounced dead at 3:30 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

No one is in custody for the shooting.
