CHICAGO — Burglars were scared away after setting off a store alarm in the Magnificent Mile early Sunday, police said.
At 2:50 a.m., a group of burglars forced their way through an alley door in the 600 block of North Michigan Avenue, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago police spokeswoman.
After the would-be thieves set off the alarm, they left without taking any items, Lemmon said.
Four people of interest are being questioned in connection with the burglary, but no charges have been filed, police said.
According to the Tribune, the thieves attempted to break into the Burberry store on Michigan Avenue.
