ENGLEWOOD — I Grow Chicago, a South Side nonprofit, is celebrating the grand opening of its Peace House this Saturday.

"We are very excited and hope that you will join us in celebrating our neighbors and the opening of the Peace House," said the organization's director, Tameka Lawson, on a public Evite.

The nonprofit has been active in the Englewood community for three years. The organizers have been a stress reliever and have offered hope to the community through free yoga and urban farming. The Peace House, 6402 S. Honore St., has been open to the Englewood community, but now the renovations are finished. New carpet has been put down, a modern kitchen is now installed, rooms have been painted and more.
