ENGLEWOOD — Grow Greater Englewood will discuss food, land and economic opportunities Thursday.
The nonprofit is a coalition of residents and stakeholders, who work to create a local healthy food system and economy. The group will host its monthly meeting at Perry Street Farm House, 5749 S. Perry Ave., from 6 - 8 p.m. Children are welcome and refreshments will be served.
The term "urban agriculture" will be discussed and attendees will share ideas for increasing job and business opportunities in Englewood. The Englewood Whole Foods Market, along with other business developments will also be on the agenda. Attendees will receive information on nutritional education, gardening, wellness and local farmer's markets.
