LINCOLN SQUARE — Local nonprofit 826CHI is inviting adults to relive their prom experience with a '90s-themed dance, "My So-Called Prom," next month at Lincoln Square's DANK Haus.

The Wicker Park nonprofit center's 10th annual fundraiser, set for 8-11:30 p.m. May 9 at DANK Haus, 4740 N. Western Ave., includes a dance party hosted by the Fabulous Ladies of Fitness, beer, wine and spirits, a costume contest, photo booth and more.

826CHI's free writing programs serve over 3,500 Chicago Public School students ages 6 to 18 at the newly relocated center at 1276 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Wicker Park.

Tickets to the prom (age 21 and up), where attire ideas include Doc Martens, Zubaz pants and shell necklaces, are $35 in advance or $45 at the door.

For more info, visit My So-Called Prom's Facebook page, the 826CHI website, or call 773-772-8108.
