CHICAGO — One man was killed and another was wounded after a shooting in Bronzeville early Tuesday.

Around 2:20 a.m., police found the driver of a silver car unresponsive in the 400 block of East 47th Street after he had been shot several times. He was pronounced dead on the scene, said Officer Hector Alfaro, a Chicago Police Department spokesman.

A 26-year-old man who was a passenger in the car was able to get himself to Provident Hospital after being shot in the neck and back. He was transferred to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, Alfaro said.

No one is in custody for the shooting.
