CHICAGO — Police are cautioning residents after a string of burglaries in Roscoe Village.

In the four incidents, burglars took items from garages and parked cars, police said in a statement.

The most recent incident occurred sometime between Thursday at 6:30 p.m. and Friday at 8 p.m. in the 2200 block of West Melrose Street.

The other incidents happened between April 5 at 7 p.m. and April 6 at 8:30 a.m. in the 3400 block of North Leavitt Street, and between April 5 at 5:30 p.m. and April 6 at 6:30 a.m. in the 1900 block of West Newport Avenue.

The first incident occurred sometime between April 3 and 5 in the 1900 block of West Roscoe Street, police said.
