UPTOWN — Join nonprofit youth services agency Alternatives at its second annual masquerade gala this month.

It'll be held at the Ravenswood Event Center, 4011 N. Ravenswood Ave., on April 25 at 6:30 p.m. There will be a silent auction, raffle, live entertainment, hors d'oeuvres and an open bar.

Tickets cost $135 and are available on the nonprofit's website.

This year, the theme is old Hollywood and Sean Krista will host. Krista is the founder of ShopAround Chicago, which offers neighborhood tours of boutiques.

The Uptown-based nonprofit, 4730 N. Sheridan Road, is hoping to raise the funds for an expansion, including opening a new location on the South Side. Last year, the gala raised more than $60,000, according to a news release.

Founded in 1971, Alternatives exists to provide services to at-risk youth and their families.
