MOUNT GREENWOOD — A 51-year-old woman was attacked from behind in a purse-snatching incident on Thursday in Mount Greenwood, according to police.

The offender, described as a black female, approached the woman at 11:45 a.m. in the 3200 block of West 109th Street, police said.

The offender took the victim's purse and fled, escaping in a black, four-door car, according to police.

Witnesses tried to assist the victim. Nobody was in custody as Thursday afternoon, police said.
