BUENA PARK — If this week's weather is any indication, it's officially spring in Chicago, which means flowers are blooming, the bikes are out, and, of course: it's time for spring cleaning.

The community group Buena Park Neighbors is getting in on the action by hosting its annual Spring Clean and Green event Saturday at 10 a.m.

Residents are encouraged to meet at Dollop Coffee and Tea, 4181 N. Clarendon Ave. From there, the group will take to the streets with trash bags and tools to clean up the neighborhood.

At noon, residents will convene at Michael's Pizzeria, 4091 N. Broadway, for lunch.

According to the community group's website, the event is a "great way to meet neighbors and work together to make Buena Park shine."
