WICKER PARK —  A woman was robbed of her belongings in a sidewalk attack in Wicker Park Sunday, and cops were able to trace her cell phone to the far West side and arrest one of the two possible offenders.

Around 7:50 p.m. Sunday, a 38-year-old woman was walking in the 1200 block of Marion Court — a small street that runs behind the shuttered Moonshine, 1824 W. Division St. —  when she was approached by two black males, according to Officer Amina Greer, a police spokeswoman

The two men "struck her about the head and face and took her purse and phone," Greer said.

The woman's iPhone was traced to the 3800 block of West Arthington on the far West side and recovered.

A 20-year-old male is in police custody, though there are no charges yet, as of early Monday morning. The victim refused medical attention on the scene, Greer said.
