Police Warn Residents Following Robberies in Chicago Lawn

CHICAGO — Police issued a warning to residents after a pair of robberies in Chicago Lawn.

During the robberies, three people approached the victims from behind and forcibly demanded their property, police said in a statement.

The most recent incident occurred in the afternoon on April 1 in the 6500 block of South Whipple Street. The other incident occurred during afternoon hours on March 26 in the 6500 block of South Sacramento Avenue.

The robbers are described as a black man with dreadlocks, around 6-foot-tall and between 17 and 20 years old. The other two black teenagers between 13 and 17 years old, police said.
