CHICAGO — A man was hospitalized after being shot in Washington Park Thursday night, police said.
Around 10 p.m., a 26-year-old man was walking in the 5300 block of South Indiana Avenue when a gray minivan drove up and someone inside fired shots, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago police spokeswoman.
The man was shot in his upper right leg and taken to John H. Stroger Hospital, where his condition had stabilized, Sedevic said.
