IRVING PARK — Don't hate Aaron Heineman just because he's the owner of BreakRoom Brewery.

Hate him because, if possible, his day job is even cooler.

So cool that it's the focus of a new Discovery Channel series, "Epic Bar Builds," which debuts Sunday.

That's right, Heineman and his team at Heineman Bar Company (HBC) build bars for a living.

The six-episode series follows HBC as it takes on projects across the country "from a home bar in the swamps of Louisiana to an outdoor bar at a hunting lodge in the Great North Woods of Wisconsin and everywhere in between," according to Discovery.

The series culminates in the building of one of HBC's most epic bars to date — BreakRoom.

The showpiece of the brewpub, which opened at the end of March, is its 40-foot bar, inlaid with a piece of 300-million-year-old petrified wood.

Check it out for yourself during BreakRoom's weekly viewing party for "Epic Bar Builds," which airs Sundays at 2 p.m. Doors open at 1 p.m., 2925 W. Montrose Ave.

Seven BreakRoom brews will be on draft, including the just-tapped Koln Park Kolsch, as well as the pub's full menu.
