CHICAGO — At least four people were wounded in separate shootings on the South Side since Wednesday afternoon, police said.

In South Chicago at 10:10 p.m., a 38-year-old man was shot in his left thigh while arguing with another man in the 8600 block of South Musekgon Avenue, said Officer Stacey Cooper, a Chicago police spokeswoman.

The man was taken to Trinity Hospital by a family member, where his condition stabilized, Cooper said.

Around 9 p.m. in West Elsdon, a 17-year-old boy was walking in the 3700 block of West 57th Place when a gray sedan drove past and fired shots, striking the teenager in his lower back and buttocks, Cooper said.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where his condition had stabilized.

Several hours earlier in Englewood around 4:47 p.m., a 20-year-old man was standing outside his home in the  7000 block of South Stewart Avenue, when a gray minivan pulled up, and a man got out and fired shots, Cooper said.

The 20-year-old was shot in his head and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition, Cooper said.

The minivan was seen driving southbound on Stewart Avenue, Cooper said.

At 3:25 p.m. in Douglas, a 33-year-old was walking in the 9900 block of South Ellis Avenue when three men walked up and fired shots, striking the man in his ankle, Cooper said.

The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in good condition, Cooper said.

No one is in custody, and police are investigating.
