CHICAGO — One man is dead and at least three others were wounded in separate shootings on the South Side since Thursday night, police said.

In the fatal shooting, a 36-year-old man was standing in the street when he was fatally shot in Greater Grand Crossing.

In the most recent, non-fatal shooting, a 20-year-old man was wounded in a drive-by shooting in Englewood early Friday.

Around 1 a.m., the man was walking in the 6400 block of South Eggleston Avenue when someone in a passing dark-colored sedan fired shots, said Officer Michael Sullivan, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was shot in his left leg and taken to St. Bernard Hospital where his condition had stabilized, Sullivan said.

• At 11:50 p.m. in Back of the Yards, a 21-year-old man was standing in the sidewalk in 4800 block of South Winchester Avenue when two men walked up and fired shots, striking the man in his left hip, Sullivan said.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where his condition had stabilized, Sullivan said.

• In South Chicago around 10:40 p.m., a 23-year-old was sitting in the front passenger seat of a parked car in the 8700 block of South Saginaw Avenue, when a white SUV pulled up and someone inside fired shots, Sullivan said.

The man was shot in his head and left arm and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious condition, Sullivan said.

No one is in custody, and police are investigating.
