ROGERS PARK — Quesadilla La Reina del Sur, a vegan and vegetarian taqueria, opened Wednesday on Howard Street.
The restaurant, opening its second location in the former meditation center at 1418 W. Howard St., was founded in Logan Square in 2013.
Owner Celia Gomez said everything she served was made in-house, including the tortillas, chips, salsas and soy-based meats that taste like the real thing. The eatery also boasts a full juice bar.
Quesadilla is open Sundays-Thursdays 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Fridays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
