NEAR NORTH SIDE — A man lured a 14-year-old boy into a Near North Side parking garage stairwell and exposed himself to him Monday, police said.
Originally, police said the boy was sexually assaulted, but later issued a correction stating instead that the boy was sexually abused.
At about 5:35 p.m. Monday, the man began a conversation with the boy and lured him into a parking garage stairwell in the 100 block of West Chestnut Street. The man then exposed himself while to the boy while they were in the stairwell. The boy ran off and told police, police said.
The man was black, in his early 20s, about 5-foot-4 and 150 pounds, police said. He has a horizontal scar across his nose and has a goatee, according to police. He was last seen wearing a red hat, red shirt, red zip-up hoodie and blue jeans.
