CHICAGO — Three people were fatally shot and at least 10 were hospitalized in shootings over the weekend weekend.

On Sunday, a 25-year-old man was fatally shot in West Pullman early Sunday while the other two men were shot in Garfield Park and South Shore.

Around 1:55 a.m. Sunday, the 25-year-old man was sitting in the front passenger seat of a parked car with two other men in the 12200 block of South Racine Avenue when someone walked up to the car and opened fire, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was driven to the Calumet Park police station and then taken to Metro South Medical Center. He was later pronounced dead, Sedevic said.

Around 7:20 p.m., a 28-year-old man was walking in the 1400 block of East 75th Street when he passed two men who opened fire, said Sedevic.

The man was struck in his shoulder and drove himself to Jackson Park Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, Sedevic said.

Three hours earlier, a 33-year-old man was shot while inside his car in Garfield Park. Around 4:15 p.m., the car was parked in the 3800 block of West Gladys Avenue when someone in another car drove up and fired at him, Sedevic said.

The man was struck in his shoulder and taken to Mount Sinai, where his condition was stabilized. The victim was a documented gang member, Sedevic said.

No one is in custody for the shootings.

Around 9:15 a.m. Saturday, a 26-year-old man was fatally shot in his head in Chatham.

An argument over a woman at Riff Night Club, in the 2200 block of South Michigan Avenue in the South Loop, turned violent around 1 a.m. Saturday. One man, who was thrown out of the club and later returned with a gun, opened fire fatally striking a 36-year-old man and wounding a 39-year-old man, police said.

A 29-year-old man was also critically injured after a shooting at Sawtooth Restaurant and Lounge in the West Loop Saturday.

In Logan Square, a 27-year-old woman was shot in her car Saturday. She was one of at least seven people shot between Friday night and Saturday morning.
