25-Year-Old Man Shot in West Pullman Identified

CHICAGO — A 25-year-old man pronounced dead Sunday has been identified as Ronnie Finch Jr. according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. 

Finch died Sunday morning after a man fired bullets into the car he was a passenger in, police said. 

Around 1:55 a.m. three men in a car were approached by man carrying a gun in the 12200 block of South Racine Avenue in West Pullman, when he began to fire shots into the vehicle. Finch, the front passenger, was shot in the right side of the head and was driven to the Calumet Park police station by the driver, where he was then taken to MetroSouth Medical Center. 

According to police, he was later pronounced dead at the hospital. No other injuries were reported and no one is currently in custody. Area South detectives are investigating the matter.
