Man Molested Boy Near Rainbow Beach in South Shore, Police Say

CHICAGO — Police are searching for a man who molested a boy in South Shore earlier this week.

At 5 p.m. Tuesday, a man approached a boy in the 7400 block of South Shore Drive, grabbed his shoulder and walked him to Rainbow Beach around 76th Street, police said in a statement

The man then pulled the boy's pants down and exposed himself, police said. The boy then punched the man in his genitals and ran away, police said.

The man is described as having a dark complexion, black goatee and two or three teardrop tattoos near his eye. He is 5-foot-6, 200 pounds and between ages 30-35. He was wearing a green hooded sweatshirt and black and white Jordan gym shoes.
