These Are the Downtown Streets That Will Close for the Shamrock Shuffle

DOWNTOWN — Several events including the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle and "Chicago Fire" filming will close off some Downtown streets and parking beginning Saturday.

The Chicago Nowruz Parade will step off at 10 a.m. Saturday at Chicago Federal Plaza, 230 S. Dearborn St. and head north to Randolph Street, west to Clark Street, and south to Jackson Boulevard before returning to Federal Plaza. The parade is expected to end at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Beginning at 8 a.m. Sunday, the Shamrock Shuffle 8K will close the following streets until approximately 11:15 a.m. Parking will be prohibited beginning at 6 a.m. Sunday:

• Columbus Drive from Roosevelt Road to Grand Avenue.

• Grand Avenue from Columbus Drive to State Street.

• State Street from Grand Avenue to Jackson Boulevard.

• Jackson Boulevard from State to LaSalle streets.

• LaSalle Street from Jackson Boulevard to Randolph Street.

• Randolph Street from LaSalle to Franklin streets.

• Franklin Street from Randolph to Harrison streets.

• Harrison Street from Franklin Street to Michigan Avenue.

• Northbound lanes of Michigan Avenue from Harrison Street to Roosevelt Road.

• Westbound lanes of Roosevelt Road from Michigan Avenue to Columbus Drive. 

• Roads within Grant Park will be closed for longer, and will open up on a rolling basis as runners pass.

Later, "Chicago Fire" filming will shut off parking from 3 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday on these streets in the Lakeshore East neighborhood

• Both sides of Upper and Lower Wacker Drives from Columbus Drive to Field Street. 

• Both sides of Upper Columbus Drive from Wacker Drive to Randolph Street. 

• Both sides of Middle South Water Street from Stetson to Michigan avenues. 

• Both sides of Middle Stetson Avenue from Lake to South Water streets. 

And from 6 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. Monday The Onion filming at 730 N. Franklin St. will close parking on the west side of Franklin from Chicago Avenue to Superior Street.
