CHICAGO — Four people were wounded in shootings overnight, including three in one shooting in Garfield Park.

Around 9:20 p.m., three people were shot in a minivan as they pulled up to a stop light in the 4100 block of West Maypole Avenue and a silver car pulled alongside them, said Officer Michael Sullivan, a Chicago Police spokesman.

After the shooting, all three were taken to Stroger Hospital, Sullivan said.

A 19-year-old man was shot in the right shoulder and a 21-year-old woman was shot in the  head. Their conditions were both stabilized, Sullivan said.

Another 21-year-old woman was shot in the back and abdomen. She was listed in critical condition, Sullivan said.

No one is in custody for the shooting.

Around 12:15 a.m., a 26-year-old man was shot in the upper torso as he was walking in the 4200 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, Sullivan said.

The man was taken to Community First Medical Center then transferred to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, Sullivan said.

No one is in custody for the shooting.

Earlier this month, 16-year-old Giovanni Mathos was fatally shot in Portage Park, which prides itself on being among the safest neighborhoods in the city. A 21-year-old man was charged in the shooting overnight, police said.

Before that shooting, the last murder in the Jefferson Park Police District, which covers most of the Far Northwest Side, occurred Nov. 11 when a pizza delivery driver was killed during an apparent robbery, officials said.

Two 17-year-old boys were also shot earlier Monday evening in Bronzeville.
