HYDE PARK — The Washington Park Arts Incubator will host artist Theaster Gates and curator Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev talking about contemporary art and upcoming exhibits.

Gates and Christov-Bakargiev will talk about the upcoming Instanbul Biennial and their time working together during dOCUMENTA13 at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the art incubator, 301 E. Garfield Blvd.

Christov-Bakargiev wrote the forward to Gates’ book “12 Ballads for Hugenot House,” about the process of rebuilding a house in Kassel, Germany with the pieces of a house in Chicago and vice versa.

The event is free and open to the public.
