UPTOWN — In the spirit of the city's upcoming runoff elections, an Uptown bar is inviting patrons to vote on their favorite craft beers.
The Bar on Buena, 910 W. Buena Ave., is hosting its Runoff IPA Election event Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Chris Furbisher of Grand Teton Brewing will be there with two of his pilot IPAs brought straight from the brewery. For $8, patrons will get two 6-ounce pours they can try side-by-side so they can vote for their favorite.
There will be additional beers form Grand Teton on draft as well. Beers start at $6.
Also this week the bar is hosting a launch party for Atlanta-based brewing company, SweetWater Brewing Company.
To celebrate their arrival in the Chicago market, patrons can try one or many brews from SweetWater beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday.
Beers on tap will include the 420 Extra Pale Ale, Take Two Pils, Blue and the Hop Hash Double IPA. The brewery will also be selling merchandise.
