Chicago Police Football Team To Play at St. Rita, Brother Rice, Lane Tech

MOUNT GREENWOOD — The second- and third-largest police departments in the United States will clash on the football field this spring.

The game between the Chicago Police Department's football squad, the Enforcers, and the LAPD Centurions begins at 4 p.m. on May 16 at Brother Rice High School at 10001 S. Pulaski Road in Mount Greenwood.

The matchup is one of three home games for the Chicago team. The Enforcer's 10th season begins on the road on Saturday against the San Diego Enforcers in San Diego.

The team, made up primarily of sworn members of the Chicago Police Department as well as players from the Cook County Sheriff’s Office and other local agencies, will play the Cleveland Warriors on April 11 in Cleveland.

The Enforcers' final three games will be played at home. The first home game will be the annual Gold Star Game, which honors fallen members of the Chicago Police Department.

The Enforcers will host the Columbus Marauders in this ceremonial game at 6 p.m. May 2 at St. Rita High School at 7740 S. Western Ave. in Ashburn.

After the May 16 matchup against Los Angeles, the Enforcers will end their season against the Inland Empire Enforcers at 3 p.m. on May 30 at Lane Tech College Prep High School at 2501 W. Addison Ave. in North Center.

Over the course of nine seasons, the Enforcers have raised approximately $100,000 for local charities. The team plays in the National Public Safety Football League which is made up of 20 teams from throughout the country.
