LAKEVIEW — You might have seen "The Hobbit," but you've probably never seen it like this.

Fans of the "Lord of the Rings" prequel can enjoy a lesser-known film version of the book Sunday at The Public House Theatre. Chicago Loot Drop, a gaming and nerd group, will host a screening of the 1977 animated movie, complete with a sing-a-long to songs like "The Greatest Adventure" and "Fifteen Birds in Five Fir Trees."

Attendees must be at least 21 years old, as beer from Arcade Brewery will be for sale. Proceeds from the event will benefit University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital. Since Chicago Loot Drop formed in 2010, it has raised nearly $20,000 for the hospital.

The movie starts at 7:30 p.m. at The Public House Theatre, 3914 N. Clark St. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased on Chicago Loot Drop's website.
