HYDE PARK — The Jackson Park Advisory Council is offering $50 for the best photo of a neighborhood park.

The advisory council is holding a nature photography contest through April 10 and is offering a top prize of $50 for the best shot of a park or playground in Hyde Park, Kenwood, Jackson or Washington parks.

Second prize is $25 and third prize is $15.

Contestants can submit up to 20 photos and can use any photography equipment they like, including cellphone cameras.

Photos must be submitted to parksphotocontest@gmail.com by April 10 to be eligible.

The winners will be announced April 13 at the Nancy Hays gallery in the Jackson Park field house, 6401 S. Stony Island Ave. and the winning entries will be on display at the field house through May 13.
