ROSCOE VILLAGE — Once a year, students at Lane Tech take a break from academics and put on an epic dance show.

Think Bollywood, not hip-hop.

During International Days, an annual highlight at the school for four decades, the school's dozens of ethnic clubs — Polynesian, Irish, Vietnamese and Romanian, to name a few — perform a dizzying array of traditional dances in full costume.

The event is open to the public, and a Saturday matinee has been added this year to allow more people to attend.

International Days is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, in Lane Tech's auditorium, 2501 W. Addison St.

Tickets are $7 and must be purchased in advance at the school's main office.
