CHICAGO — A man was wounded in a drive-by shooting in East Garfield Park Wednesday night, police said.
At 10:50 p.m., a 27-year-old man was standing in the 100 block of South Albany Avenue, with a group of men, when a black SUV drove by and fired multiple shots, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokesman.
The man was shot in the lower right leg and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where his condition had stabilized, Sedevic said.
According to police, the man is a documented gang member.
No one is in custody, and police are investigating.
