COOK COUNTY CRIMINAL COURTHOUSE — A youth counselor at an Austin church has been charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old parishioner.

Vadonis Landfair, 21, attacked the girl sometime in January while she and her 17-year-old boyfriend were at Landfair's home in the 100 block of North Parkside Avenue, authorities said.

As the trio watched movies, Landfair told the boyfriend he wanted to perform oral sex on the girl, Assistant State's Attorney Enrique Abraham said during a bond hearing Thursday.

When Landfair asked the girl if he could, she responded "I don't know," Abraham said.

The girl and her boyfriend then walked into Landfair's bedroom, where they had sex on his bed, according to prosecutors. Landfair walked in a short time later and assaulted the girl, prosecutors said.

He admitted in a Facebook message that he performed oral sex on the 14-year-old, Abraham said. The victim told her aunt what happened, and Landfair was arrested on March 9.

Landfair was a "youth volunteer" at Rock of Our Salvation Church, 118 N. Central Ave., according to prosecutors and an arrest report.

Cook County Judge Maria Kuriakos Ciesil ordered him held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
