ALBANY PARK — Friendly neighborhoods make for safer neighborhoods.

That's the premise behind block clubs, which help connect residents, whether to report crime or hold a party.

Find out how to start one, and grow one, on your own street by attending a meeting hosted by Albany Park Neighbors and the 17th District's CAPS office, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, at the 17th District Police Station, 4650 N. Pulaski Rd.

The meeting will also touch briefly on court advocacy and problem buildings.
