CHICAGO — A man was critically wounded in a shooting early Thursday in South Chicago, police said.

At 1:40 a.m., a 24-year-old man was sitting in the driver seat of a parked sedan, in the 8100 block of South Oglesby Avenue, when a man approached on foot and fired shots, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was shot multiple times and taken to Northwestern Hospital where he was listed in critical condition.

No one is in custody, and police are investigating.
