UPTOWN — Two documentaries centered on agriculture and local food production are screening at One Earth Festival this weekend.

The festival will be held Saturday at ICA GreenRise, 4750 N. Sheridan Road.

At 11 a.m., there will be a screening of "No Land, No Food, No Life," a 1-hour-and-15-minute documentary that explores sustainable small scale agriculture around the world and the urgent call for an end to corporate land grabs, according to a press release. It's co-sponsored by the Institute of Cultural Affairs, Oxfam America and Shift.

The film will be followed by a panel discussion and a tour ending at 2 p.m.

Another film, "Edible City," will be screened at 3 p.m. In it, characters in the Bay Area challenge the paradigm of a broken food system, the release said. It's co-sponsored by animalia project, Ginkgo Organic Gardens and the Institute of Cultural Affairs.

The 55-minute documentary will be followed by an optional discussion and tour as well as micro-workshops ending at 5:30 p.m.

Both films are official selections of the fourth annual One Earth Festival.
