HUMBOLDT PARK — El Rescate will celebrate its third anniversary on Paseo Boricua with a day’s worth of events on Tuesday.
The Humboldt Park transitional living facility will kick off the day with a panel discussion, titled “The Latino Housing and Homelessness Question,” that will be accompanied by a fundraising dinner at the National Museum of Puerto Rican Arts and Culture, 3015 W. Division St. The free discussion is set to begin at 4:30 p.m. and is open to the public.
El Rescate has provided services to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender and HIV-positive youths ages 18-24 for three years, offering transitional housing to youths who have suffered homelessness, as well as providing professional case managers, living skill facilitators and resident advisers, the organization said.
