ANDERSONVILLE — Calling all bibliophiles: All Brown Elephant locations are offering a buy-two-get-one-free book promotion this week.

Through Saturday, shoppers who buy two books at any of their three locations will get a third book free, the store announced via Twitter.

Brown Elephant has locations in the city at 5404 N. Clark St. in Andersonville and 3020 N. Lincoln Ave. in Lakeview. The Andersonville location is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, while the Lakeview location is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. The third location is in Oak Park.

The free book has to be the same price or less than the other two, according to Brown Elephant staffer Ben Stange. In other words, shoppers can't get buy two books for $3 and get a third book valued at $15 for free.

Each location has a different selection of mostly used books, which depends on donations. In addition to books, Brown Elephant sells secondhand clothing and furniture — all in support of the Howard Brown Health Center.
