PULLMAN — Tickets are on sale for the Goodman Theatre’s concert reading of August Wilson’s play “Gem of the Ocean” at the Historic Pullman Visitor Center.

“Gem of the Ocean” is the story of Aunt Ester, a 285-year-old former slave and “soul cleanser” who guides others on a spiritual journey aboard the legendary slave ship, Gem of the Ocean. The play is the first of Wilson’s 10-play chronicle dramatizing the African-American experience in the 20th Century.

Tickets for the March 31 performance at 11141 S. Cottage Grove Ave. are available here.
