CHICAGO — A man was found dead after a house fire in Austin Tuesday night, authorities said.
At 9:37 p.m., crews responded to a fire in the 400 block of North Leclaire Avenue, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
The man, believed to be 62 years old, was discovered after the fire was extinguished, Chicago Fire Department Chief Juan Hernandez said.
One other person was displaced as a result of the fire, Hernandez added
The cause of the fire was unknown, and it is under investigation.
