Lakeview and Lincoln Park Robberies Prompt Police Warning

CHICAGO — Police have issued a warning to businesses after two robberies in Lakeview and Lincoln Park.

In both robberies, a man walks into the store and demands cash from the register while holding a small revolver, police said in a statement.

The most recent robbery occurred Saturday at 10:30 a.m., in the 2800 block of North Broadway Street. The other robbery occurred Jan. 9 at 2:30 p.m. in the 700 block of West Fullerton Avenue.

In the Broadway incident, the man is described as a black man between 40 and 45, 5-foot-10, 150 pounds, wearing a tan trapper style winter hat, black jacket over a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and white gym shoes.

In the Fullerton incident, the robber was described as a black man between 45 and 50 years old, wearing a red and gray plaid winter hat, black jacket, blue jeans and white gym shoes.
