CHICAGO — Your pooch may not have won Best in Show at the Westminster Kennel Club Tuesday, but that's no reason not to celebrate him or her anyway.

For national Love Your Pet Day on Friday, we've rounded up some ideas for ways to pamper your four-legged family members:

Free Sprucin'

Chain store Pet Supplies Plus is celebrating Love Your Pet Day with free or discounted services at its four Chicago locations. At the Lakeview location, 3757 N. Lincoln Ave., or Jefferson Park store, 7220 W. Foster Ave., get free nail trims from 9 a.m. to noon, free baths all day, and $5 off future grooming scheduled on Friday. The location at 1289 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Wicker Park offers the free bath and free morning nail trims, and the location at 3640 N. Elston Ave. in Avondale has free morning nail trims.

Dog Cake

We kind of want to try this cake. Stop by Jameson Loves Danger, a boutique at 5208 N. Clark St. in Andersonville, to browse their treats like this one from Arf! Baking Fresh! bakery and more.

Pawdicure

A nail trim isn't complete without a little color, right? Pet resort Paradise 4 Paws offers pawdicures — and other spa services like mud baths — at its locations in Garfield Ridge, 5262 S. Kolmar Ave., and near O'Hare Airport at 10516 United Parkway. Find out more info here and call to schedule an appointment.

Canine Massage

If your dog is old or especially active, he or she might enjoy some R&R at Canine Massage Chicago at 1709 W. Belmont Ave. in Lakeview. A 30-minute massage session for dogs costs $40, and a 60-minute massage session costs $60. "The canine body is parallel to the human body, so many of the benefits are the same with the human," said masseuse Denise Theobald in a previous interview.

Dog Bar

It's easy to get cabin fever in February, and your dog might be feeling the winter blues, too. So get out of the house together and grab a drink at your neighborhood dog-friendly bar. Note, however, that DNAinfo Chicago does not condone giving your dog actual booze, no matter how great this Shutterstock image is.

Here are just a few:

Cody's Public House, 1658 W. Barry Ave. in Lakeview
Ten Cat Tavern, 3931 N. Ashland Ave. in Lakeview
The Corner Bar, 2224 N. Leavitt St. in Bucktown
The Four Treys Bar, 3333 N. Damen Ave. in Roscoe Village
Clark Street Ale House, 742 N. Clark St. in River North
Archie's Iowa Rockwell Tavern, 2600 W. Iowa St. in Humboldt Park

What about my cat?

You may have noticed we didn't include cats on this list, because we're not going to go around suggesting you wash your feline. Just get 'em a box, or something.
