CHICAGO — With Lent officially underway, the Archdiocese of Chicago will be celebrating the season with a 24-hour "Festival of Forgiveness" at 24 parishes across Lake and Cook counties, including 16 within the city.
The 24-hour festival, which begins at noon Friday, will offer special opportunities for Eucharistic adoration, reconciliation and prayers of healing. The festival is open to not only Catholics, but anyone in need of healing and forgiveness, according to the archdiocese.

• St. Ambrose, 1012 E. 47th St.
• St. Bruno, 4751 S. Harding Ave.
• St. Christina, 11005 S. Homan Ave.
• St. Clare of Montefalco, 5443 S. Washtenaw Ave.
• St. Columbanus, 331 E. 71st St.
• St. Daniel the Prophet, 5300 S. Natoma Ave.
• St. Ferdinand, 5900 W. Barry Ave.
• St. Francis Borgia, 8033 W. Addison St.
• Holy Name Cathedral, 730 N. Wabash Ave.
• St. John Cantius, 825 N. Carpenter St.
• Our Lady of the Snows, 4810 S. Leamington Ave.
• Shrine of Christ the King Sovereign Priest, 6415 S. Woodlawn Ave.
• St. Stanislaus Kostka, 1351 W. Evergreen Ave.
• St. John Paul II Newman Center, University of Illinois at Chicago, 700 S. Morgan St.
